Earlier this year I did a shop fit out for a new wholefoods store in Moruya, Rustic Pantry Wholefoods.
I made a counter of recycled Ash, finished with Osmo hardwax, a non toxic finish, and clad in painted hardwood weatherboards salvaged from an old moruya house. A shelf unit of reclaimed Oregon is supported on parts of an old mantlepiece. A partition wall separates the shop from the office/storeroom, and makes use of an antique cedar door.
Later I designed and built some plywood racks to support the plastic drums used for bulk food storage, and also built a plywood ‘christmas tree’ display for the festive season.
Most recently, as the shop became increasingly popular and more storage was needed I built an island bench and three units of tiered drum racking with drum storage underneath, from recycled reclaimed hardwood and plywood.
