Eurobodalla Shire Council and South East Resource Recovery Group have held the Revive Art Prize for a few years now, featuring art made from waste material. This is the first year that I have entered. I decided to make a self portrait in corrugated cardboard boxes. The sculpture is constructed from layers of hand cut cardboard shapes threaded over a wire support structure. Constructing the cardboard sculpture involved a combination of digital trickery, enlargement by projection and many hours of meticulous hand tracing and cutting. I am delighted to have been chosen as this years winner.
